We often marvel at photographs of animals we see in magazines like National Geographic or in documentaries in The Discovery Channel.  However, who is behind this kind of photographs? And what is the message they want to give us? Is taking a cool photograph all they want to do? One of the many people around the world who are trying to get us closer to wildlife is Brian Czarnik and he visited us to share his talent with us. We learned how professional photographers get close to wild animals in order to capture them with their camera. Why sometimes it takes weeks to be able to get close enough to a wild animal. Mostly, we learned that it is up to us, to mankind, to preserve wildlife. Not just because we want to protect them or because it is the right thing to do, but because they play a crucial role in the balance of nature. It is our responsibility to ensure that no more natural habitats are destroyed to build factories and resorts. It is up to us to do whatever it takes to make sure that people like Brian can find polar bears and Bengal tigers and pandas for many more years. If we are not careful and take responsibility,  in a few years all we will have left of these beautiful animals will be their photos.
